Instrumentation and Control Engineering department has been functioning since 1997. This course deals with the skills regarding instruments used in various industries. It also develops control disciplines such as advanced process control (APC), distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA). The purpose of this discipline depends on the exact nature of individual job roles.
The tasks and responsibilities of this course include designing and developing new control systems, testing, maintaining and modifying the existing systems, acquiring .analyzing and presenting the data, managing operations, working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, project management with more profit, low cost and less time troubleshooting and problem-solving, understanding and ensuring compliance with the health and safety regulations and quality standards and developing business proposals. It also plays a major role in Quality control of manufactured products, Power system, Weapon systems, Nuclear systems, Transportation systems etc..
