This college was started in the year 1964 in the campus of Government Engineering College Coimbatore-43 with Civil, Engineering Structural and National Diploma in Commerical Practice for the development of women in and around Coimbatore and other places.

DIPLOMA COURSES OFFERED AT PRESENT ARE :
1. Civil Engineering.
2. Mechanical Engineering.
3. Electronics and Communication Engineering.
4. Instrumentation and Control Engineering
5. Computer Engineering.
6. Garment Technology
7. Modern office practice

In the year 1969, this college was functioning in the campus of Government Enginnering College, Coimbatore - 43. Now it has been changed to Papanaiickenpalaym, Coimbatore -44 with 10 acres of land.

This institution is imparting a complete knowledge of technology with classrooms well-equipped laboratories, Drawing-Halls and Library.

Mandate

A recognised Institute by AICTE -
* Is to offer diploma courses in engineering on fulltime basis to women students selected according to state government, norms.
* Also it is empowered to offer - Need based Part Time courses for men and women and award Certificates under other Projects
* The institute is to establish close links with local industries and community by offering them training and other services.

* Not applied for accreditation by NBA
